Choosing what type of lever handle you need for your home can be a confusing task. We stock a variety of different lever handles, suited to any style of door or requirement. Here is a basic guide to our lever handle options.
Lock
The majority of our lever handles can be purchased in Lock, this style of handle is for use with a traditional key operated locking system. The keyhole is cut out of the backplate or comes separately with some of our lever handle systems. Lock handles are ideal for exterior doors.
Latch
Latch lever handles are normally used for interior doors, these feature a spring-loaded tongue, which ‘clicks’ shut holding the door closed but not locking it. This means that no locking mechanism is required, only a tubular latch. All Kirkpatrick lever handles can be made in a latch style as well as many of our From the Anvil handles. Bathroom
Bathroom style lever handles feature a turn and release locking system which allows for the door to be locked and unlocked from one side for privacy without a key. All of our bathroom locks are fitted with a safety feature, which means they can be opened from the outside in-case of emergency.
Euro Cylinder
Our Euro lever handles have a cut out keyhole shaped barrel for use with a Euro Cylinder. This is primarily used on exterior doors. When choosing this style of handle it will need to be matched with a Euro Cylinder lock. This style is primarily used on UPVC doors.
