Bakelite Smooth Oval Door Knobs On Round Rose Walnut

A pair of vintage-style real Mottled Brown (sometimes called Walnut) Bakelite Door Knobs complete with round back-plates. This plain oval design offers a comfortable grip with added leverage because of the shape making it easy to turn. Complete with 5/16" spindle so it should fit some old locks as well as new locks. Grub screws and wood screws are also supplied.

They suit either mortice locks or rim locks. For rim lock use, simply discard one of the two back-plates.

The round back plates are No 6065 and the knob is No 6125.

Knob: 60mm x 35mm.
Backplate: 56mm dia
Projection: 53mm

All our BROLITE real Bakelite pieces have been modelled on original designs from early to mid-20th century. The door knobs & handles are interchangeable on all the Brolite backplates, so you can order the parts individually if necessary.

Please note: these handles/knobs are unsprung - just like the originals - and so require some help to return them to a horizontal position. You will therefore need to ensure that the latch or lock used has sufficient spring capacity.
